Hello,

I'm trying to compile yield figures for a product, by week and then quarterly.
This is fairly straight forward SUMming in Excel but as always there's something!!
On occasion, a particular product might not have been tested and therefore the yield is zero (0)!!

Because a percentage and Pass/Fail rates are to be calculated, the resulting SUM will read '#DIV/0!'
This proves a problem when trying to get a quarterly average, as some week will read as above!!

Is there any way to change this display text to read 0 from the summing and therefore allowing an average to display a number for each week?

Cheers

Quick cheat = sum(x:y)+.001 which gives a real number and if formatted correctly still shows 0.

you could just put the division in a if statement.

=IF(A10=0,0,A10/13)

Cheers

Think I'll go with the quick cheat recommended by Zelandakh (!!). Feck to the IF statement, no offence but my Excel capabilities aren't the Mae West!!!

The quick cheat will work because I'm dealing with large, whole numbers (usually) and 0.001 will go unnoticed!!

Cheers again people

Go nairigh an mbothar leat!!
