How do I display the correct format of 999-99-9999 in a social security number for the whole column? I have input mask set properly and it will show properly when that row is clicked, but the other rows show just numbers - no dashes.

right now it shows this:
358-99-9870 (correct if I click in this field)
321454545 (all the rest are just numbers)
324565414
321447788

Try setting the sparse property of the column to .F.

Thanks Craig, I saw that an hour after posting the message. Grids are still very new to me.

You think they could have come up with a better name than SPARSE......

Geoff,

Doesn't explain why they chose such an obscure word.

I suppose if a collection is "sparse", a particular property only applies to relatively few of its members -- in this case, just one. But you're right -- it does seem a bit obscure.
