I'm running NT4.0 SP6a Every time I go into display settings to change the adapter, Everything seems to go well but nothing changes. After reboot, same standard vga driver.
I went to manuf.'s website and downloaded proper drivers. Extracted and path'd to them on change of display system say's drivers loaded properly close out of Display and reboot. When done and rebooted same generic display.
Driving me nuts

I have run into this problem with all of my NT servers. In my case, as soon as I upgraded the service pack,(to SP5) the new adapter driver magically started functioning. Maybe try reloading SP6a?

Thanks for the quick reply.
I have come to find out that the tech sent me the wrong file/driver twice.
The reason for the NT OS not accepting it. The same thing happens in 98 but it at least tells you that the driver was not specifically made for this device and may not work properly and sets it to a standard vga adapter.
I have since loaded the right drivers and it is up and in full color.
Thanks again.
