I have a PC WIN95 133Mhz I tried to increase the size of the display area in the display properties. So I went to display properties, changed the screen area to 1024 x768 pixels and high color 16 bits.
Then I restarted the computer the monitor shows the booting secuence and the windows flag, then it goes totally dark i tried to increase the brightness and contrast to no avail.

I can hear the sound and I know that the monitor works but is like if you turned off the brightness and contrast.
How can i reverse what i did ? I can go to f2 setup when the boot process starts.

thanks

Press F8 before you see the Win startup logo. Select safe mode. Go into display properties. Change the resolution back to the settings you had before you started fiddling with them. Restart Windows.

My advice: don't play with the control panel if you aren't sure your hardware can support the settings.

Visit the website of your video card manufacturer and see if they have an updated driver to allow you change to the required settings. After all if it doesn't work you know how to rectify the prob. ;-)
