We have just set up new computer for a fiend, but can only get 16 bit color nothing else, anyone know what we have done wrong.It is driving us nuts, and we are looking stupid.Any pointer would be appreciated.Its got to be something so simple.

Do you have the correct video driver installed??? I would start looking there.

Install the correct video driver.
Select display properties from device manager, and specify monitor type.

Thanks for your help it turned out to be a driver problem, in the hard light of day we did a fresh install and is working fine. Thanks for those who replied so quick, we don't look too stupid now...lol
