Display names for incoming calls

Hi All,
is it possible to assign external phone/mobiles numbers to a name(friends) and when he calls in to my line it display his name instead of his number??

The only way that you could do something like that is if you assigned your station as a VDN and create a vector. At that point you can direct the ANI to a VDN that you label with your friend's name and point it to your new station. All other calls would simply route to your new extension. I do not know of another way.

Call you LEC and see if they have Call ID with Name option. Verizon has it and SBC in some areas. Most sales reps don't even know about the feature...you must have a ISDN pri. Then just enable it on your trunk
