Display name does not update in ADUC

I recently created a new user called Kaley in ADUC but did not fill in the Last Name section within the new user wizard. This created a user called Kaley with a display name called Kaley too.

The user recently complained that when she sent an e-mail, the recipient only saw Kaley as the display name and not her full name. I opened ADUC and filled in her last name and changed the display name field to read 'Kaley Sykes'

The problem is that this doesn't seem to update ADUC. When she sends an e-mail, it still says only Kaley. In ADUC, she only appears as Kaley on the list and not her full name.

Is there a fix for this? Any help would be great.

Go into the user's profile and remove, re-add the Exchange account. This should clear up the problem.
The client is "branding" the e-mails and that is why the name is showing up as Kaley instead of Kaley Sikes. Exchange doesn't care how the Display Name appears in Outlook, but obviously Outlook (and your user) does. It has all the account information it needs to send the e-mail, and everything else is just cosmetic, which is where Outlook comes in.

Is that a POP3 account along with an Exchange account? Exchange is what stamps the display name, not Outlook.
