Do you lose the display at the boot ptompt or only after Solaris starts to boot? If you can get to the boot prompt you can try typing probe-scsi-all (or it maybe scsi-probe-all, I never can remember until it tells me I typo'd) this will go out and test for your SCSI adaptor to see if it is functioning correclty, I assume that when you remove the SCSI card everything comes back as expected? Are there any message in the log are does it not get up that far?
