I'm using access 97. I'm generating a report that displays information on buildings and chemicals stored in those buildings. The report is generated from a query. In the report header I am trying to generate a list of just the buildings so that they are displayed on the first page. There after each building is displayed again in ascending order and the chemicals within them. Anyways, so far I only see the first building. Does anyone here have any ideas on how to get all the buildings in my report header displayed?

Thanx

Use a sub report in the header of the main report.

in other words, create a report that displays the building information just the way you would like it to appear in the final report. Then using the sub-report tool in the design report screen imbed that report into the final report.
All should work well from there.

Thanx for your reply.

Here's a really dorky thought....create a separate chart report using your building names only then turn off all formatting so there are no border lines, data or axis labels - everything you can turn off, turn off - just leave the legend with the building names. Then insert that chart into your report header. Told you it was dorky.......but at least the chart will update if/when you add building names.
