display documents as read only

Hello all.

Am working on an application that track training events. I need to make all events that have been completed, above 2yrs and past to be seen as read only when it is clicked on in the view. Could anyone show be with formula or lotus script on how to do this?

The simplest way is to control the status of the document in the Query Open and Query Change events of the form, locking the document to read mode when the status is completed.
