Is it possible to use a function or special field to display the data source a report is connecting with. We frequently use the same reports to connect to different data sources (snapshot databases etc) and if this info could be displayed in the report footer or similar it would be very helpful.

As far as I know, it isn't. What you could do is set up a parameter that displays what's been done on the report. I think you'd have to control that manually - if you say you're going to do one thing and do another, the machine won't notice.

It helps to give your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. Methods sometimes change between versions, and higher versions have extra options.

What type of database? A SQL expression to do this is the following:

{fn DATABASE()}

I am not sure this will work with non SQL databases however.
