Hi Folks

I am trying to do something that should be relatively simple (I should think), Display a Crystal reports XI report in a VB.NET 2005 application. I do have Crystal Reports upgraded to the second revision, and have placed a report viewer object on a form in the project. I have also associated the report with the viewer at design time (Which I'm thinking may be a mistake).

Anyway, everything works OK on my development machine, but when I try to show the report on a installed machine the viewer seems to hang and no report is ever displayed. I am thinking it may be a mismatch in the path to the report file, or it could be something else.

Anybody know where I can find a simple how-to on working these two technologies together, or some advice for assigning the report at run-time?

thanks

Which viewer are you trying to use (ActiveX, DHTML, Java, etc...?)

Usually the problem is that your installed PC is locked-down and won't allow the viewer components to install on first-view attempt.

... I was not aware there was a difference. I have simply installed the CRXI .NET Report Viewer component. AFAIK I am not even trying to use java at all. CR may have a different idea... Is there some way to tell, a parameter or property on the control?
