Display constantly redrawing

We are running Citrix Metaframe 1.8 with the latest Service patch on Windows 2000 Terminal Server.

We have a Windows program that when run remotely, constantly redraws itself. When open, it just flashes over and over. You can force through it and actually work, but boy is it nausiating.

I have found a few tips about resetting the module.ini file for key redraws, but nothing works.

It works on our local computers and at the Citrix Terminal just fine. Remotely over modem, DSL, or T-1 causes it to redraw.

The vendor for this software has never tested it in a Citrix environment and will not provide any help.

It is Spectrum 5.1, a library program.

Any ideas?

Hi!

Have you checked if the client with the problems are using diskcache for bitmaps?
Try to increase the cachesize and the minimum bitmap file size.
Another thing, for the client to be able to use the cache settings, change the connection type for the application set to "Dial up Networking, PPP/RAS".

Another thing might be the command line tool "twconfig" on the server for tuning graphics. Just hit twconfig /? and it is pretty self-explaining.
