Hi. I have two ring groups with two DDI numbers. If one group of phones is ringing, a phone in the other group can happily answer the call by pressing the line appearance key. Ideally I would the phones to be able to see the caller ID coming in before deciding if to answer the line.

I have looked at using 22-06 to limit the ringing, but this applies to both ring groups the phone is in.

It isn't critical, but there are times people would like to be able to decide if to answer the call or ignore and allow the voicemail to take.

Is there any options here?

Thank you.

M.

Try this, using x 102 as an example;
22-04, ring group 2 place the extension there
22-06, uncheck mode 2 for that same extension.

Thank you for that, this is what I had tried.

If I uncheck the extension from 22-06, it no longer rings for it's intended incoming calls either. There is a DDI number which points to a ring group with a few phones in. If I uncheck those extensions in 22-06, they no longer ring on this DDI, nor the second DDI.

I would like to be able to have one DDI cause the phones to ring, and one DDI to cause them to ring silently.

Does this make sense?

Thanks.

This is where I may be loosing my mind?

22-06 is per extension, not ring group. So if I put the extension in two ring groups, and then disable it's tick in 22-06, it doesn't ring for either ring group?

CID is tied into ringing. The phone has to ring to get the CID. You cannot have it both ways. 22-06 removes the ringing to the extension. Placing it in a ring group then removing the ring allows CID to appear at that phone.
An extension user can display the Caller ID information for multiple incoming calls without answering
the call by pressing the line key if Automatic Handsfree in PRG 15-02-08 is set to 0 (Pre-select).

What I dont know is if this works for Virtual extensions

Turning Auto Handsfree to "Pre-Select" is the PERFECT solution. I hadn't realised this option was there. Perfect result, thanks!
