I've got a display issue on and I'm trying to track down whether it's my bug or Opera's bug. It looks fine in Mozilla, Netscape 6+, and IE. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Liam Morley

Hello Liam,

The link in your message was a not found.

Opera is precise about CSS tables, and so some pages drop text down on other text widning up with an unreadable page. Was that the problem?

10Downingstreet.uk or something like that, Tonyt Blair's site had a lot of unreadable a month ago, probably still does. Yup but not as bad

You'll see a lot of things escaping borders. It used to be whole sections would land on top of each other. Unreadable.

It may be garbage calculations from front page, as the UN had a similar problem but fixed it in two days, and the webmaster there said it was bad table alignment.

You can tell the WebMaster, but unless they care, like the UN did, they will look in IE6 and decide you are whacko.

It is not you, ore really Opera, it is sloppy site design, as if that matters to the viewer.

Best

Sorry about the broken link. Since the original post date a few months ago, the site has gone live (Opera issue aside). The site now stands at
I understand that opera is precise about CSS, but Mozilla is even more precise.. or at least, is 100% compliant with all HTML 4.01 and CSS1, and Opera does have some documented table issues on their website (couldn't tell if my issue falls under that category). I think it's a tables issue and not a CSS issue, but I could very well be wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated:) thank you.

I actually am the webmaster for this site, and am trying to make the site work with all browsers. It works in Opera--there's no loss in functionality--but still, it'd be nice if I could get it to look the same as it does in IE and Mozilla. Liam Morley

J said:[ul]Your site loooks fine in Oper 6.04 Shall I sent you some silent light and some GIFs?

There are small black bokes at the top left under General Information...

I've uploaded screenshots of what it looks like in mozilla and opera:

You should be able to see that the green navigation bar towards the top looks somewhat distorted in the opera screenshot due to an image (quite possibly an entire table cell) being misplaced. Liam Morley
