Display an error message when editing record

Hi,

I wanted to know if there is a way to display a message box when a record is being edited. My form has "Edited Record" record locks, and right now when someone tries to edit a locked record, access just beeps, however I want a message box to appear stating that a record is locked. I have found some stuff on this, but nothing comprehensive. Thanks.

Does this help? It traps the error code that comes up when a record is locked.
