I have an .xls that is building lists from various folders across the network everytime it is opened and I would like to have a 'splash' form that is on the screen while the code runs and then .close when the code is done. I am sure that it is a simple solution. I just don't know the answer.

If you have Excel 2K or newer, you can use
Code:
  UserForm1.Show vbModeless
This is not available in Excel 97.

How silly of me. I use that in some form filler interfaces that I have made, but I was under the impression that it only gave the user the ability to click on the worksheet without having to close the active form (or let them minimize the whole application without closing the active form).

Thank you. I will try it first thing when I get to work in the morning.
