This is kind of a silly question it seems, but a solution would be a huge headache saver. I've got a separate hard drive full of files. They have been horribly organized (actually, well-organized but I need them unorganized). Anyhow, there are thousands of folders and subfolders with thousands of files at different layers.
For example:
F:\FolderA\SubfolderA\--50 files
\SubfolderB\--10 files
\SubfolderB\subSubFolder1\--100 Files
\FolderB...
This is basically what the entire drive looks like. There are so many folders and subfolders and files at different layers like I mentioned above, but I need them to be all in the main folder (e.g. F:\--1000 files). I think there are about 4,500 total files on the drive. The only way I know how to to this is to open each folder or sub fold and copy the contents out to the main folder of the drive and then delete the subfolders. This is like a 4-5 hour process at least, given that there are over 1,000 folders and subfolders and about 4,500 files. Does anyone know a shortcut? It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe
