Disksuite metatool coredumping

Hi,

Disksuite 4.2.1 metatool is coredumping. Any ideas?

Does the core file contain any clues as to what might be happening? Try a strings core to get any legible info. which might provide a clue. Have you been using metatool without incident before, or is this a new install?

Check your patch level too. 108693 is the SDS patch for Solaris 8. I'm currently on revision -15.

I'm patched to 108693-18 and it's a new install of
Disksuite 4.2.1 after an upgrade to Solaris 8.

What display are you using? A genuine Sun terminal or a PC X server?

Personally I avoid metatool like the plague and stick to using the command line utilities.

Try another X server, or perhaps VNC (e.g.

http://www.realvnc.com),

which I have found pretty reliable when I encounter X server incompatibility problems.
