I have a Radiant P1520-0018 workstation that has no hard drive and will not connect to the server. Is there a way to test the ethernet port to see if that is the non-connectivity issue? Should that be the issue, is there a way to use an external ethernet device (Usb to ethernet)? Lastly, I have another unit with a cracked screen from another installation that I can replace the motherboard with. How would I configure that stations NIC or MAC Address to replace the current one? (Again, I wish to replace not add in addition to, not asking to circumvent licenses) I am familiar with pc based POS systems but not as savy on diskless "Dummy" based systems. I Appreciate your help in advance.

The 1510 is notorious for loosing NIC connections - first make note of you IP settings then uninstall the NIC in device manager the reboot the terminal. It should find the NIC card and reload the drivers automatically. Check your IP settings again. If that doesn't work you can install a USB NIC, share your CD drive on the server to install the drivers or copy CD to a thumb drive. You will have to set the USB NIC card with lanacfg to lana 0. See FAQ's on setting lana. Lanacfg should be loacted on your server somewhere.

Thanks you for the responce but this system has no operating system... Therefore I can not use device manager and such... Also, the issue is the nic card and cannot use a shared drive across the network... I am familiar with what your answer is suggesting but there is no hard drive or operating system so normal fixes are a bit more difficult... Thank you for your reply though...

The 1510 has a IDE drive connection, located at the top of the MB, swap it out with the other machine with the bad screen. or put a hard drive in it and install an image on it, if it truly is a UDOC I can get you an image for the 1510.

Cheers,
