I have been running system defragmenter but can't defragment approx 23% of disk.
Files are showing names such as:-

Fragments File Size
344 21mb
Names ( and variation of same name found some differnent Rp numbers)
System Volume Information\_restore{923A0393-D025-4AD6-BC44-3C5825F5EEEC}\RP199\snapshot\_REC

I find a number of these, 30 in all , shown in disk fragmenter but can't seem to find them in search or understand why they won't defrag.....

Any idea would be helpfull

The files you are trying to defrag are part of the NTFS file system which are invisible for regular use (including defrags). My suggestion is to ignore this "problem", especially since defragging isn't as benificial as everyone thinks it is.

These are system restore points. Do a Disk Cleanup prior to running the defragment, using the 'Options' to clear restore points.
