Had a three week old Samsung 250GB suddenly coming up disk read error on a P4 Intel system (which is somewhat of a cobble-together that I have inherited).
I put the drive in an Icy Box and tested with chkdsk from another PC, all is reported healthy.
The Intel bios says it detects the drive but it continually throws the error, despite pulling out other drive cables to the DVD and CD drives.
I wondered if it could be the bios or a power issue?
