I was helping my friend today because he had an error that couldn't read the disk.
He has all his picture in my documents that he wants.

The disk was partioned as two, 1 C: and 1 D:

He said that Win XP has warned him for days that he doesnt have diskspace in C:\ and now he cant start windows.

So i got another disk, installed xp and set the other drive to slave.
I could get to e: but not to d:

When i tried to click at slave disk drive d: i got a message that it could not read disk.

so in dos i type chkdsk d: /F and after that i could get in to the d: but my documents wasnt there.

My question is there anyway that i could get back my documents in d:?

D:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents

should be where they are unless a different loction was chosen.

There wasnt a mapp called D:\Documents and Settings

I chosen show hidden files and folders but still i couldnt find the Documents and Settings mapp
