Disk Out of Space error

I am running Netware 6 and Client 4.9sp2. I created a new user and assigned rights identical to others for a given directory. However this person gets "Out of disk space" errors when trying to save anything to this directory. Any idea's. I checked and rechecked rights to no avail.

is it when using excel?

if so make sure they have deleted right
check effective rights , groups , irf's etc

make sure file caching is off on server and client
verify that nwfs is patched
