Hello,

First list the volume group names in your system
lsvg

Then list the characteristics of your volume groups, searching for one with a 1G -or more- of free space
lsvg ¦ lsvg -i ¦ more

annotate the partition size (in MB) of the volume group with sufficient free space

then create the volume and filesystem on the selected volume group with
smitty fs

Thanks !!!
Karl
mc_karl@yahoo.com

~ ~ ~ ~
