Hi Folks,

I have a windows NT machine and I have just recently purchased a 2nd hard drive for it. It is the same as the original drive. What I want to do is make an exact copy of the first drive on the second drive - all partitions and data.

Is there a free and simple way that I can do this?

Most disk manufacturers have a utility which allows you to copy existing data to new drive (eg, clone old to new - expecting user to move from old to new drive). Utiity on website if not provided with drive.

Is it an IDE hard drive or does it have a RAID array configured? If RAID is configured, you may be able to mirror the drives (make an exact copy of the first drive), but...they must be pretty close to identical drives, i.e. size Manuf. etc. Windows NT has a utility in hardware manager under Admin Tools.

It's an IDE hard drive - no RAID
