I suspect IO bottlenecks on our windows 2003 cluster server. These 2 cluster servers (one active, one passive) hosts sql server 2000. The data and logs for sql exist on different drives and there are other drivers for user data.
We are noticying that the applications are running slower and slower with each passing week. We have determined that this is not due to any sql query or index etc., and the RAM and CPU is fine.
Since our data for sql exists across a RAID 5 array, and our sql logs exist on a RAID 1 array, how can I monitor and show that we may be having disk IO bottlenecks?
I have run the performance monitor, but unfortunately, it doesn't give me a good picture for a amount of time (or I just don't know how to read it).
