Hi all,
i kindly would love your input in solving this problem.

i have 3 hard disks with similar problems, on the devic manager the drive are listed as " not initialise".
when i try to initialise the any of the drives i get this error " the operation was canceled due to an internal error"

i can be able to initialise the disks hence cant be able to recover data from them,
1. whats the best approach to this
2. Media tools is quite good while recovering data from mecanically failing drives using reverse cloning but i am not able to see either of the drives for they are laptop drive which i have conveted using the usb converter.
3. is there a specific tool i can use to force this drives to initialise
4. i have tried restarting the machine and one of the drives size is seen but not yet initialised

kindly post your sugesstions and assistance

enjoy.

eyec -USB drives aren't driven by the BIOS.

gikuyu - Try removing the drives from the USB environment and connecting them directly to the internal IDE bus to diagnose the problem. You can use a Laptop to Desktop Adapter to accomplish the task. Information about those can be found at
Repost with your results for further assistance,

in order to recognize USB hard drives the BIOS sometimes needs to be set to see the floppy disk (A:).

though, i agree the adapter would be a better way to go.
