I have a disk failing on my raid5 array its pdisk10
what is the procedure for failing the disk over
I was going to do a
fail the disk
and let the hot swap disk take its place
and put the new disk in as a hot swap disk
Is there anything I am over looking
Thanks

sounds ok,

i would do it the same way,

of course all disks must have the same size!

Physically pull out the disk you want to fail and verify if the hot swap takes over. Make sure the disk placement within the array are there with ssa rules. This should work.
