We have a Proliant 3000 which is suddenly reporting one disk as degraded. The disk appears to still be functioning ok. We have swapped disks about 4 times but Insight Manager is still reporting the same slot/port as degraded.

We have also swapped the back plane just incase it might have been that.

Any ideas please? -----------------------------------------------------

I have an ML370 with the same problem. We have replced the drive twice, run the predictive failure patch, and upgraded the controller firmware. When we upgraded the firmware, the controller itself failed. We replaced that and still have a predictie failure. There are no errors on the drive, though.

If anyone has corrected this problem, please let us know.

One thing I was going to check was the firmware levels on the server. I know they are not fully upto spec. I checked the version control in Compaq Insight Manager. -----------------------------------------------------
