disinfecting trojan

I'm running win2000 server and c:\explorer.exe is infected with trojan virus. how do I disinfect it? please help.

A little more info is needed. Do you know the name of the Trojan? What antivirus did you use to detect that it was infected? Have you confirmed the file is actually infected with a second av software, an online av scanner or by sending a sample to your av vendor. You need to confirm what Trojan you actually have. Try to get more info on the trojan at

or

Once you are sure it is a trojan you can try to clean it with moosofts "The Cleaner"
