Hello group.
My organization is currently in the process of rolling out Citrix to all of our workstations, which historically have been Windows XP machines. Our end-goal is to have Citrix deployed to all users, running Windows 7.
We have been coming up against a number of growing pains. While we have been successful in deploying to about 20% of our organization, due to the negative perceptions from the initial growing pains, many departments are opting out of the migration.
I'd like to know if there is anybody out there who wouldn't mind discussing (recent) Citrix deployments in their organization, and share what types of experiences you have had. E.g., any user pushback, what were some of the "A Ha!" moments after deployment, any gotchyas, etc. In a nutshell we would like to ascertain whether or not many of our user concerns are typical with a new implementation, where the users are firmly routed in their traditional WinXP environment. For context, we are a call/processing centre in the financial services industry.
Thanks for anybody who can lend an ear.
Cheers,
