Discoverer

[Note: I spotted this forum after posting in the Oracle 8 forum]
Hello all,
I am a Crystal reports programmer, recently introduced to Oracle Discoverer... I feel as though my arms have been chopped off.

My question is this, 'Is there any way to write SQL directly against the EUL, avoiding the clumsy discoverer interface?'

I know that SQL can be written against the DB itself, but the EUL does handle all of the joins and calcs.

AFAIK, there is no way to write query directly in the Discoverer. To help the feeling of chopped hands, compare Discoverer to Excel, not to Crystal.
