discover Ip address

What would be the best approach on a solaris 7 or 8 system to discover the IP address.


Would ifconfig -a be the best way.

This is the best place to look, IP address also found in /etc/hosts ( which is linked to /etc/inet/hosts )

to find the current IP address, ifconfig -a is by far the easiest, and most reliable

you can also do netstat -rn to see all the network connections
