This may or may not be the Firewall, but has anyone seen disconnecting shares going through from Inside interface to DMZ interface? When a user is connecting to a share on a DMZ Server to move files, they periodically lose the share (get the red X and error message) then the share, seconds later is restored. The file transfer then is sporadic and inconsistent.

I was just wondering if this has been seen before and if it could even possibly be the Firewall or something else internal (this doesn't happen on shares mapped to internal servers).

Thanks in advance

Scott

HI.

Monitor the pix using PDM or other tools, while testing this issue. Use also syslog messages to check of errors.

Try different protocols like FTP or HTTP. How do they behave?

Try to set the pix+switch+server with fixed ethernet configuration: 100full or whatever you have, instead of "auto".

Bye
