hi all
i 've got a ip 412 with release 3.0.44 and 4 expansion module phone 30 attached
for the second time in 2 days ,2 modules disconnect.
i have to say that one of the four modules is placed mor than 5 mt fromt the ip office, and is one of the two that disconnect
after a reboot everything turns normal ,but just an hour ago, after two days is happened again
does anybody knows what's gonna happening?
i even tried to solve it upgrading to 3.0.58 but as i said nothing changes on this problem

?Prepared to be slapped.

If the expansion modules are connected to the control unit by any cable other than the one supplied with the module, ie. the short 1m blue cable, then Avaya will not give you any support since that's the probable cause of your problem.

Using any other cable cause timing problems between units which are eventaully revealed in the symptoms you've seen.

SO, only connect using the blue cable supplied and no via any intervening kit (no hub/switch/router).

3.0.58? 1st ive heard of this load. what does it fix? I dont see it on avayas ftp site either

Ok, So whats broke in 3.0.44? Or, what are they feild trialing?

There are always a lot of little things wich can be improved or fixed.
If you want a full list then ask your distributor for it.
