Hi All,

I am having an issue with a pbx, when there is an incoming calling and the AutoAttendant greeting plays and you hang up during the message, the pstn line still remains active and doesn't hang up and forwards to a fallback extension group.
For some reason at this client the pbx doesn't want to detect the hangup signal.
The version is 11.4.1

Does anyone have any idea?

Thx in advance

Hi Icet500

The line is not CO, it is an analogue line, that is converted from Fiber to analogue trunks using a grandstream gateway

the reason is that the disconnect clear signal is not coming from those devices. (addendum: disconnect clear is nothing but a Voltage drop for 0.5 seconds to signal that the caller is disconnected)
if you call the provider you might get lucky and get a tech that actually knows what that is but most likely you are on your own.

There is an Avaya document about that, you have to disable the disconnect clear option in the analog line (if it is not enabled try turning it on and test before continuing)

then in System - Telephony - Tones and Music
turn on busy tone detection

In the line options uncheck disconnect clear in the Analogue Options tab

CO is analogue line. However, Westi gave you great explanation you can follow.
Also, try to set disconnect clear units to a lower value if the above did not work.
