Hi,

I have a problem. I hope somebody here can give me a help.

I have 2 3COM switch, one 1100 at 1F and one 3300 at 2F. The connection between 1F and 2F is 100M Fiber. In 1100 there is a 100M Fiber card (3C16970) as port 27 , at 3300 side has a converter (Microsens Fast Ethernet Media Conerter 100Base-FX/100Base-TX) which connect to port 1. It works well for 2 years until last week. The connection between 1F and 2F suddenlly down. After we reset the converter it back but later failed again. Every day it down 4-7 times.
I can ping 1100 at 1F and 3300 at 2F when disconnection happened. And I telnet both switch, at 1100, no error. but at 3300 there was CRC Error and Jabbers, normal time every minute about 10 error. After disconnection I found the number increased 400-600.
I clear all ports, it's no help.

Someone please help me!

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem on this moment, the diference is that i have 2 superstack II 3300 switches.

How have you solved the problem?

Thank you,

I replaced the media converter with a new one, it fixed the problem.
