Although I'm aware of it's annoyance factor, our company wants to add a disclaimer at the bottom of all our outgoing emails. I've been following the directions listed here ( but what happens is that external mail does not get delivered in house. I've tried a few variations on this to no avail. Has someone successfully configured this?

Thanks,

Kim

Can you post logfile excerpts?

I successfully made this work, though the machine is a relay and not used for local delivery. I don't recall it being too difficult.

Alternatively, Paul Daniels (the guy who wrote Altermime) has a program caleld Inflex (now XamimeLT) similar to amavisd but that also includes a facility for adding disclaimers. I initially started using inflex (on sendmail) about three years ago because I had a management directive identical to yours. If you're not using something like amavisd already, this may be worth looking into for reasons in addition to your disclaimer issue.
