XP has a system restore option by default. Does windows 2003 have the same utility ?? We recently lost an oracle database which was sitting on a windows2003 box but we have no backup.....Yes I know, should always backup but the damage is done....

Thanks in advance

Cheers,

Windows 2003 has Shadow Copy. If it is turned on on a particular disk, it keeps historical snapshots of files. If you get properties on the drive, you'll be able to tell if Shadow Copy has been turned on for that drive. If so, you may be able to pull a previous snapshot of your database. Otherwise, no, there's no full-system imaging utility turned on by default.
