OK, here is the Situatuation, I have a Small Business Server, and I am in Florida, When a Hurricane is approaching we take the server offsite and relocate either in a secure bunker or Hotel. Neither the Hotels or Secure bunker will assign me a static IP. Is there a way to use a Dynamic IP such as mycompany.dyndns.org and use that as a static IP, with the dynamic updater software.

If this could work, how would I configure the MX records? and Exchange to receive and send from this address?

The problem with using a dynamic address is that many ISPs will block inbound mail from them as they are usually a source of spam. So, check into whether your ISP can be used as a smart host.

If it can, then be ready to make that change when the server gets moved (I seriously don't recommend leaving it like that all the time).

Then, setup a dynamic IP updater account somewhere such as dynip.com.

Set a secondary MX record to point to that record.

Now, when you move the server and bring it online elsewhere, your primary MX record won't work, but the secondary should (along with the smart host).
