I have a windows 2000 DC which is my main domain controller, and I want to replicate my AC to a second win 2003 server to be able to recover any disaster that might happen. I want to have a setting that if my first domain controller goes down, my second server be able to recover my domain and vise versa
How to do it, and on which I must configure global catalog .

Basically what you need to do here is to add another domain controller to your Windows 2003 AD environment. In terms of FSMO role placement, you would need to avoid setting up a GC on the same DC that hosts the Infrastructure master role, but otherwise you can easily make the other DC a GC if the primary one fails
