I have a 98 and a 2000 with password locks on the screensavers. Yesterday after lunch the 2000 screensaver said none was chosen. This morning the 98 machine said the same thing. What could cause this change they both run the default scrolling marqius screensaver thanks for any replies

hmm... did u try changing the screen saver from display properties & did the new screen saver work?
