HELP!!!!!
Hello everybody. This is my first post on this forum so appologies if this subject has been done before.
I've done a search and cannot find anything that answers my problem.
So here goes.
First here are the machine specs:
Dual 1.8ghz PowerPC G5
1.5gb DDR SDRAM
150gb HD (with about 140gb free)
Software spec:
OSX ver 10.3.9
Indesign CS ver 3.0.1
There is a user in our Design Studio that is experiencing a problem when moving a text box in an Indesign document. When she does the text within disappears and you have to double click on the box to get the text to show again.
It is fine when moving images about only happens with text.
Now this happens in various documents even on a fresh new document.
This doesn't happen on any of the other machines within the department which have the same spec machine.
Things I've tried so far:
- Dumpped indesign pref.
- Reset Pram of machine.
- Reinstalled Indesign.
- Reinstalled machine from scratch. She was on OSX ver 10.3.7 now on 10.3.9
- Even followed the suggestions here But as it wasn't specific to a document it doesn't really help.
Now I'm starting to think there is some sort of hardware issue.
Can anybody suggest anything else.
Maybe there is a refresh rate plugin or something similar.
Please please help! I'm at a loss here.
Many thanks in advance.
Rich
