Disappearing Floppy

Hello All,

I have to admit, this is probably a stupid thing, but any help would be appreciated.

My floppy drive disappeared from My Computer. It is in the bios, it will run bootable floppys, un-bootable floppys will halt the startup. You boot into windows and there is no floppy.

Its a brand new Dell Dimension 2400. I tried switching floppy drives and the same thing. I did not tryt o swith the cables, because after it ran a bootable floppy, i figured it was just a windows problem.

Some days....I tell ya, this sounds like a Monday problem.

NEVERMIND!!!!!

I deleted and reinstalled the floppy drive controller in Device Manager.
