disappearing emails

I have a 2 year old Dell running XP Home with Outlook Express and Optimum Online (NJ area) is my ISP. All of a suddenm the emails from 7/3/07 thru 7/25/07 disappeared. and I can't find them in DELETE box or anywhere else.

First, can emails be located after deleted from DELETE Box. Anywhere else I can look for missing emails ot check setting so that additional emails don't disappear? thanks.

I assume you are using Outlook Express?
This is the location of the folders from Outlook Express on a hard drive - C:\Documents and Settings\your login name\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{974ECE80-3718-4C28-8E47-C46532EAF1FC}\Microsoft\Outlook Express.
You will see "Deleted Items.dbx" folder which contains information even if it shows empty in the email program.
I do not know how to extract information from that file - maybe someone will help us with that?
