Disappearing Corporate Directory

We're using CCM 4.1(2) here and have been for well over a year now.. Been working just fine. Now, this isn't some recent issue that just started, it's just i've finally heard enough people mention it that I figured I better check it out.

The problem is, for some reason the Corporate Directory option on everyone's phones (under Directories of course) keeps disappering at random times. When it it's missing from one persons phone, it'll be on another phone five feet away and work just fine. Rebooting the phone seems to bring it back every time..

Anyone else experience this? Any cure? It's almost like an idel/disconnect issue.

I've dug around on Cisco through just about every troubleshooting corporate directory KB article and nothings giving me any help.

Any got any educated guesses?

I've seen cases where the Content Engine interferes wtih this.

Do you see "Requesting" and an hourglass at all when this happens, on the display?

curious: check to see if you can access any web services on the suspect phones at the time this happens before rebooting the phone

similar issue i had was the Publisher was not reachable or the hones were failed over to another CM or SRST at the time - once rebooted they would re-home to their regular primary CM, or clear a memory cache of some sort and then be fine again

I have to reboot my CMs every 2 months or the directory disappears. I can tell when it's time to reboot because I start getting complaints from users.

I still can't figure out the reason.
