I have a page that has a form on it and the update button disappears when published to the webserver. The button is there when I view it in FrontPage, including in preview - but for some reason when moved to the live server it does not show up. I have tried moving the button, restoring the file from a backup and everything else I know to try. Has anyone else had this problem and can advise me how to solve this mystery?

Can you post the code of the button? Is is an image that you have linked? If so, is the link pointing to your local drive rather than the webserver?

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

I can post it if you would like, but it is not a graphic from a file or a link. It is a straight up submit button out of FrontPage's form components.

Code:
<tr>
      <td noWrap bgcolor=&quot;#C0C0C0&quot; align=&quot;left&quot; colspan=&quot;2&quot; height=&quot;25&quot;>Update: <input
      TYPE=&quot;submit&quot; VALUE=&quot;Update&quot; tabIndex=&quot;30&quot;> </td>
</tr>

I could post the whole form, but it would be a big post - there is a lot going on in it. I have also tried bringing the file in as a notepad file and I have tried saving the file in a previous version of FrontPage. Both of these techniques I have provided answers for similar problems in the past. FrontPage has a way of altering your code and this has been a constatnt pain in the &quot;you know what&quot;. Unfortunately, it is the only tool they will give me to work with.

Is your webserver set up to handle FrontPage bots? That is do you have directories like VTI_ etc when you FTP in?

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

Okay, so then FP apparently is active on your server...I am not sure why the form will not work. Maybe someone else here more familiar with FP can help.

When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
