Hi All,

Thanks in advance. We are running Exchange 2007 server, Outlook 2007 at the desktop, I have a user that has a Blackberry curve and we sync it using the BlackBerry Pro Software version 4.1.4.17.

The user will create a calendar entry for June in this case, via outlook or the BB and about 1 hour later the entry is gone.

Any suggestions?

Sorry it is BlackBerry Professional Software Version: 4.1.4.3

What are the settings for calendar synchronization? Which wins, desktop or device?

ZaSter,

We can create an entry in Outlook and it will push to the Blackberry and we can create the entry on the Blackberry and it will push to Outlook but after an hour, they both disappear.

robspwing,

Is cache mode turned on in Outlook? If so, try turning it off.

Another thing you can try is to;
1. go into the calendar
2. go to options
3. enter "rset"

This will wipe your calendar and reload it fresh from teh server.

And yes, on reconcile you want;
Delete on prompt & Mailbox wins

cache mode is turned on, I will turn it off tomorrow.
I tested with another user that has a Blackberry and we put an entry into his calendar in August 2009 and it was there after an hour, so there is something with the one user.

EddieDuece, I will try your suggestions tomorrow.

Thank you both for the feedback

EddieDuece,

I went into the calendar on the phone and went to options,
where do I enter "rset" ?

robspwing,

Just press those keys in that order. It is like an "easter egg", hidden, and those key strokes reveal it.

Exactly...there is no option for this. Just enter the keystrokes.

I guess not, I tried it since one of our users has more contacts in her Outlook than on her Blackberry.

No, this will not work for contacts. However, if you go into the server, double click the device name, hightlight PIM Sync, scroll down to the contacts folder, and change it to no contacts, save and exit. Then go back and add the contact folder, you will repopulate the contacts. This can take quite a while for all contacts to re-syncronize but it works.

You should upgrade your BES software also. That might take care of some of your issues. Simple to do and doesn't take long at all. You might try the latest release prior to 5.0 which was just released. That upgrade might take some time.

EddieDuece,

I double click the User Name under the Users tab and I click on PIM Sync, I do not see contacts folder I do see address book but there is only Synchronization enable, Endabled on Device, Synchronization Type, and Conflict resolution listed under the Address Book.

It looks like there may be an issue when we add an entry to the address book on the BlackBerry that it does not sync with the server.

Under the PIM Sync it show Bidirectional and Server Wins for conflict resolution

Your address book is what you need under PIM Sync. What we did was go into our Groupwise account, create a new contact folder, named it Blackberry, and drag and drop your contacts into it. Once you have populated that contact list in your email account, go back into the BES>Double click user>PIM Sync>Address book subscribed> and you should now see the new blackberry contact list you created in your email account. It can take up to 4 hours for this to sync to your device depending on how large the contact list is.

I found out that it was Google Sync that was deleting the entries.
