Hi all,

I have a strange problem these days in my company.

We have some script on various AIX RS6000 machines that exists before execution but disappear after execution.
We discovered it doing ls -l before and after its execution.
One more strangeness: one of this script was renamed automatically as .nfs4801 before its disappearance.
Someone have knowledgement of AIX bug like this ?

Thanks very much,

Domenico

That's not an AIX bug.

What does the scripts do, how do they run and by what??

Hi Henrik

sorry for late. Thanks for answer. I discovered that it's an NFS problem under certain conditions. The magic words to discover it on internet was "nfs estale". Now the programmer has changed the script (I don't know what :) ) but it works fine.
